Jordyn presents her work on air pollution at the GCC IDR2 Conference 

Ximena participated in the AHA Hispanic Scholars Institute.  She is investigating mechanical cues on cardiac tissue interactions.

Ximena has been selected as an AHA HSI Research Scholar and will spend the next few semesters investigating heart disease models.

CTEL and Dr. Todd Rosengart (Baylor College of Medicine) were recently awarded the Dunn Foundation Award to investigate cardiac tissue reprogramming!

Dr. Horton is one of 35 junior facultuy members selected for the prestigious Ralph E. Powe Award. 

Dr. Horton will present at the BME Pre-Tenure talk hosted by UF and GT.

CTEL has published findings of a computational model for investigating vaso-occlusions in Sickle Cell Disease.

Recent work on sickle cell modeling was presented at ASCB in Washington, DC.

Dr. Horton will be presenting at the Texas Biomaterials Day hosted at Rice University.

Dr. Horton has joined the BME department at the University of Houston.
